Shell processes, such as Shell higher olefin prosecco (SHOP), which is a chemical process for the production of linear alpha olefins and Shell Hydroformylation (SHF) are highly appreciated and widely used in detergents, surface-active agent, lubricants and additives, in the industry.
The high purity plasticizer alcohols using SHF technology are widely used in wire and cable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compounds because of its high quality.
The higher olefins produced by SHOP are used for co-monomers for LLDPE and synthetic lubricants to form PAO and a variety of other applications have been developed further more.
